Airport

Myanmar has undergone a remarkable political and economic reform process and is continiuing to strengthen friendly relations with the international community, unlocking opportunities for international business. The country also offers a plethora of culturally diverse destinations. Myanmar’s tourist destinations range from the magnificent temples of Bagan to the distinct cultures of the Inle Lake and the beautiful untouched beaches in Ngapali and NgweSaung. Fittingly, Myanmar is a fast- growing destination for both business and leisure.

The international airports are the main gateways into Myanmar. First impression counts. As a local group of companies, we are conscious of our responsibilities to uphold and maintain the image of our country in all our undertakings in airport projects by providing world-class aviation facilities and services.

Our subsidiaries, Pioneer Aerodrome Services Co., Ltd and Yangon Aerodrome Co. Ltd are the airport operators for Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon airports respectively, and we are constantly working hand-in-hand with our stakeholders and business partners to offer our passengers and visitors an enjoyable experience.

Our history in the aviation industry dates back to 2001 when we first constructed the airport runway and domestic terminal in Magway City’s new airfield, and we have built on our experience through completed projects since. We have completed two major phases in our expansion of Yangon International Airport, having completed the international Terminal 1 in March 2016, and the domestic Terminal 3 just shortly after in December 2016.

Having handled 5.92 million passengers in 2017, these new facilities will support the expected growth in passenger capacity to cater to the increasing demand for air services in Myanmar. Built to handle up to 20 million passengers, this hallmark project which was designed in line with international standards will be aligned with Myanmar’s economic growth and open doors of opportunities for business and employment.
