Asia World Foundation fulfill the needs of local communities along the upgraded Angumaw – Maungdaw Road

Asia World Foundation, the charitable arm of Asia World group of Companies, is also fulfilling the needs of local communities along the upgraded Angumaw – Maungdaw Road for the socio-economic development of local communities.

The Angumaw – Maungdaw road development project is the single biggest not-for-profit project undertaken by the Foundation under directives of UEHRD for the development of Maungdaw Region in Rakhine State.

Apart from the road upgrade, Asia World Foundation has constructed a new jetty where three vessels can dock simultaneously for loading and unloading cargo, a ladder at the old jetty for easy transportation, reconstruction of village dam for storage of fresh water for drinking and agriculture, construction of concrete steps on Pagoda hill together with villagers, concrete paving of village streets and building culverts.

For education and healthcare, Asia World Foundation helped in the maintenance of old school buildings and building libraries in villages along the road, provided free healthcare services, donated medicine to village clinics and built new toilets for villagers.

Asia World Foundation is proud to contribute to the needs of the local community in social, educational and healthcare areas aside from the road upgrading project for the development of Maungdaw region in Rakhine State. We look forward to providing more assistance for the country.
