AOT-YACL Executive Meeting 2018

Jointly chaired by Mr Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, President of Airports of Thailand (AOT) and U Htun Myint Naing, Chairman of Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL) – operator of Yangon International Airport (YIA) – delegates from both countries participated in the AOT-YACL Executive Meeting 2018 on 22 February 2018 under their Sister Airport arrangement.

With 5.92 M passengers traveling through YIA in 2017 and built with capacity to handle 20 million passengers, this annual event is a key way to enhance best practices at YIA and is part of the move towards setting the standard to become a high-performance airport through capability building.

The meeting also presented opportunities for both sides to share knowledge and exchange information on various topics, including airside management, route development, and other areas of airport management. Senior executives such as Ms Sasisubha Sukontasub, Senior Executive Vice President (Corporate Strategy) of AOT and Mr Jose Angeja, Chief Operating Officer of YACL as well as other AOT and YACL executives were also present at the meeting.
