Property Development

As Myanmar's economy continues to liberalize and develop, demand for commercial, retail, residential and hospitality real estate has also been increasing due to the growing presence of multinational companies and expanding local firms.

In the past few years, the lack of office supply in Yangon was evident as office rental rates were driven upwards by the burgeoning demand. There also remains a significant need for additional housing supply as Myanmar sees increasing urbanization. To this end, we remain deeply committed to delivering premium projects that spur business growth and enterprise in Myanmar, and improving the lives of families by providing quality homes.

With tenants including a mix of embassies, leading Asian firms, leading retail brands and a supermarket, AWC's seven-storey commercial, retail and residence property development at Hledan Centre is strategically located in the heart of Yangon.

The Group also owns hospitality developments including two luxury hotel properties, the 170-room Horizon Lake View Resort and the 80-room Myat Taw Win, in the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw which has a growing reputation as a destination for MICE – Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions – events. The Horizon Lake View Resort is also part of the National Guest House Project which hosted Head of States and members of the delegation for the ASEAN conference held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar in 2014.
