Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (“YACL”), the operator of Yangon International Airport (“YIA”), successfully concluded today its inaugural roadshow in Kolkata to enhance air links between Myanmar and India – two countries which enjoy rich historical and cultural ties.


YANGON – 10 June 2019 – Yangon Aerodrome Company Ltd (“YACL”) will organize a one-day roadshow in Kolkata to promote air travel between Myanmar and India, two countries which share strong historical and cultural ties, the operator of Yangon International Airport (“YIA”) said today.


Yangon International Airport (“YIA”), Myanmar’s busiest international airport, handled 2.32 million passengers in the first four months of 2019, an increase of 4.2% compared to 2.22 million in the same period last year, following recent additions of new routes and destinations, its operator Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (“YACL”) announced today.


In line with efforts to promote sustainability and environmental awareness, Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (“YACL”) today announced that it had installed the first 32 ‘Jet Towel’ units around Yangon International Airport (“YIA”) International Terminal, replacing paper towels in restrooms.
